Rebuilt, Reopen and Brand New.
Dragonfly Africa have recently visited the brand new Matetsi River Lodge and River House in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.This well-known property has been completely rebuilt by andBeyond and now offers 18 luxurious, one and four bedroom villas. The lodge, located within the exclusive Matetsi Private Game Reserve on 15 kilometres of mesmerizing river frontage overlooking the mighty Zimbezi River. The lodge consists of a West and East Wing – each with 9 villas. The wings are self-sufficient with kitchen, dining and reception areas, as well as a fully equipped gym, spa, lap pool, library and wine cellar/bar located in the middle of the wings.
Sanctuary Chief’s Camp located on Chief’s Island in the famous Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta re-opens, with the name needing no further explanation. This Sanctuary retreat has been rebuilt to create a new, luxurious contemporary safari camp in one of the best locations of Africa. Setting new standards in the luxury safari experience, the camp has 10 brand new stylish pavilions and a new suit – The Geoffrey Kent Luxury Suit. Incredible views of the Okavango Delta surround the new spacious pavilions, which can be enjoyed from each of the pavilions private pools or from the tranquil outdoor seating area. The main and public areas have been decorated in a ‘safari chic’ style including a new bar and library, the extension of the dining room and the addition of a deck with pizza oven.
The Stack Restaurant, Cape Town. The 60-seater, french-inspired Brasserie with separate bar downstairs as well as a private members-only club upstairs, this historic venue offers stylish interiors, delectable food and a variety of settings for individuals and groups with the members area offering business and conference facilities. This unique collaboration between Nigel Pace, a well-known hotelier, and interior designer wife – Sarah Ord, has resulted in the latest restaurant offering in Cape Town.
